The biggest unrepresented faction would be the Left, but even if they were big enough to win (they aren’t) they’d just pull people from the Democrats, not the Republicans. ---

Maybe if they wanted to retire anyways, they might run one last campaign as a spoiler candidate for a ton of cash up-front, but that still won’t give Musk any seats in Congress once the dust settles. ---

I sort of forgot what thread I was in re-new America Party. I’m thinking that Musk may be able to primary congress critters by giving their opponent $$$$$… You’ll never buy off a sitting republican I don’t think. They’ll say sure, take the money and still try to get their power back. ---

If you’re America party, you don’t really care about sapping the Democrats. You care about winning America. They probably recognize that whatever he creates will be a flash in the pan, ultimately. But they can send a message to Dear Leader perhaps? While this is possibly the best case scenario, I don’t think it’s going to be enough. Yes, there are a non-zero number of Republicans who have lost their faces recently, and you’re 100% correct that almost all of them won’t admit their error and vote (D) - but I also don’t think most of them will vote (AP). They’re just more likely to not vote at _all_ IMHO. So they won’t appreciable draw off the (R) vote. One thing that could be effective though, is if the AP (American Party in case it isn’t clear) uses Xitter’s clout and easily manipulated algorithms (see the recent changes in Grok) to flood the field with propaganda against Republican candidates, it might suppress the (R) vote just enough to let a Democrat win an otherwise close race. To be hoped at least. ---

This might be a golden opportunity for good ol’ Newt Gingrich. Musk needs visionary like Newt and their space interests might coincide. I believe Newt was pushing the idea of a colony on the Moon, and making it the 51st state. ---
