I dislike most stuff Will Farrell has done, but “More Cow Bell!!!” makes me laugh every time. ---

I love Elton John. The only song of his I don’t care for is Candle in the Wind, and I think that’s because of over play. ---

Last year as a surprise to my wife for our anniversary, I bought tickets to see Elton in concert for his farewell tour. They weren’t cheap but it was literally the last chance she’d have to see him perform in-person. We went together and it was a heck of a show. As old as he is, he gave an amazing performance. So, he doesn’t annoy me at all. He’s talented and entertaining. ---

I agree; he’s fine with me. About ten years ago I was on a solo trip, driving across western Kansas, with no decent radio stations and no CDs to listen to. I spied a Walmart and browsed the music selections, finally picking out his Greatest Hits double CD set, listening to it over and over again before I returned to civilization. No, I didn’t go insane from that. ---

EJ is in my top ten GOAT musicians. Only saw him once when he headlined with Billy Joel. In an arena which is the suckiest place to see a concert. Up in the nosebleed seats trapped like a rat the entire time. Never again Sting is on my IHL ---

His style of comedy might work if he’d tried harder at it, but he approaches both comedy and acting like a half-assed old man uncle in a touch football game: a shrug and a meh, now pay me. Granted part of it may be because a car that almost sideswiped me in Paramus was driven by a clueless jerk who looked exactly like him, but saying it was him is a stretch. I mean, why would he ever be in Paramus? Does his one fan live there? ---

This needs MORE COW BELL!!! Seriously though, part of the reason my husband and I find that skit ridiculously funny, is that the guy lead singer in our band played you guessed it, cow bell. It was still a funny skit. Probably in spite of Farrell being the, cow bell player. ---

A guy I used to work for in the early-90’s – and we traveled a lot in rental cars (where I tended to drive _and_ take charge of the music) – had a passionate, life-defining, and irrational hate for the band, Chicago (who I rather enjoy). I reconnected with my old boss a couple months back. He said he still hates those motherfuckers, and that I’m an asshole for even mentioning them 😉 That’s 30-ish years. Something to be said for consistency. ---

He annoys me no end as well. But after a while I get tired of it and tell him to go home. Then he does a big dramatic flounce out the door and the rest of us go back to playing cards. ---

Yes, there are actually two Chicagos: Terry Kath’s gritty rock band with incredible horns; then, after his death, Peter Cetera’s lounge act that doesn’t deserve those incredible horns. I’m not listing my performers who “annoy the fuck out of me”… there are far too many of them. eta: Although, this IS the 21st century. Why can’t we order up a Rush album with a different vocalist?
