Go to ‘Edit Options’ and set Subscriptions to any setting other than ‘Do Not Subscribe’ and you will be automatically subscribed to every thread you post to, and they will appear in your User Control Panel. I prefer not to receive any email notification, so I use ‘No Email Notification’, but you can choose to be notified every time someone posts to your subscribed threads, if you wish. ---

Wait HOW does one do a vanity search? The only thing I can think to do is set up a regular search for my username in all forums. But somehow I don’t think that’s what y’all are talking about? ---

Some of us, of course, have paid no attention to our friend since the great Thanksgiving of 2002 (or maybe 2003) Weapons of Mass Destruction meltdown, as correct as his positions on groundhogs / woodchucks might be. As an aside, now that the intellectual leaders of the GOP routinely call Democrats socialists, is it appropriate to call Republicans crypto-fascists? ---

Then, when a list of threads appears, i can easily see if there are any threads that mention me, but that i have not participated in, because the ones where i have participated have a little box indicating that fact. Here’s a [screenshot](https://jshare.johnshopkins.edu/mhender4/public_html/gen_images/vanity_search.jpg) of a vanity search i just did. As you can see, there are actually three recent threads where my name was mentioned, but where i did not post. That’s an unusually high number (for me, anyway) and is largely a product of the recent debates over Rule #2. ---
