Color me unimpressed by the OP. Don’t like what **'luc** has to say 'cause it gets under your skin and/or mostly because you’re unable to refute him when he actually digs in beyond his unnassailable sarcarsm and brings out the factual hammer? Tough tit. I’d say he’s doing his job admirably – you know, fighting the Cognitive Dissonance Pandemic that currently assails your nation. Hell, he is – thankfully, along with many other Americans here – one of the reasons I still hold out hope for your nation. That it hasn’t gone bat-shit insane a la **duffer, Shodan, Starving** , et al. Unfortunately, IRL, there simply weren’t enough **'luc’s** around to put a stop to the downward spiral your nation is embarked in. But again, thanks Og for him and people like him. For without them, there is no hope. As for **xt** and his OP (which, BTW, ain’t much other that a C&P hack job with little addtional effort put forth), yeah, sure, **'luc’s** snide remark may have been initially unwarranted, but I think he hits the nail on the head in his following and equally sarcastic and succint [post](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=6732141&postcount=5). Just another convenient distraction at a time of great need – the whole Gallaway sham didn’t appear to be getting much traction so greater WMDistraction were/are obviosly needed. I have a confession to make. Here at SDMB, I really just can’t bring myself to give a good damn whether someone is Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal. If they are cold or indifferent, that’s another matter. And I’ve seen that on both sides. **elucidator** is comic relief with sometimes uncanny perceptiveness. ---
