We had a van full of multi-generational families heading down to NOLA. It was the only teenager that insisted we just haaaad to stop at Graceland.
We just finished Elvis Death Week here in Memphis. From the photos I’ve seen from the candlelight vigil held Thursday, the crowd (around 10,000) looked pretty diverse. A Graceland spokesman said there were fewer people here than in past years but that he thinks a lot of people are waiting to come to the 2027 50th anniversary events. And trust me, they will come, young and old, from all over the world. Elvis fans are fanatics.
