One reason why I Pitted **Elvis** rather than try to resolve the matter in the GD thread was that I wanted to discuss the poster as well as the post. But a second reason was that **Elvis** ’ and my back-and-forth was on its way to becoming a personal squabble of the I-said-this, no, you-said-that variety. Kinda like what **QED** and I were having here. 😃 There’s nothing in the rules that says that such a squabble can’t play out in GD, and I’ve been in more than a few like that there. But I’m not particularly proud of that, it’s certainly not what GD is for, and if it’s a live thread, it just gets in the way of the debate proper. So what I’m saying is that opening this thread _got the squabble out of the GD thread_, and IMHO that’s a good thing, regardless of the lameness of _this_ thread. ---

Hmmm, who has been more of an asshole lately, **Elvis** or **QED**? I’ve seen a lot more of **Elvis** ’s asshattery than \*\*QED[/]‘s but at least Elvis’ has a motive behind his. QED has turned into an asshole just for the sake of being an asshole. I guess it’s a question of quality over quantity. ---
