# Email notification + deleted post

I got an email notification about a new post on an old thread, but when I opened the thread (this one [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=14611534#post14611534](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=14611534#post14611534)) there was no new post. Was it deleted?

The only posts that are outright deleted are spam.

The last post was deleted as spam, yes. I actually don’t think it was spam, so I’ve restored it.
