All the email systems that I use tell the recipient who sent the email, so I feel no need to treat them like idiots by telling them again. ---

None for me. If it’s my first contact with someone I didn’t know before (as in addressing somebody from a website I just encountered) I will start with “Dear \_\_\_” or “Hello, \_\_\_\_\_” but in subsequent emails (and for all the ones I send to ebuddies) I forgo the salutation, too. However, some of my ebuddies use them. Doesn’t bother me, but looks like a waste of keystrokes. ---

I am just a measly painter (particularly now as I don’t have my business at the moment which went defunct with this economy! :mad: ) so I don’t have business name/title as such. Just my name and my goofy signature that hotmail automatically puts at the bottom center of my emails in baby blue. I came up with that signature because at times people don’t “get” my off-the-wall goofy jokes and take them seriously (perils of being deadpan). :rolleyes: I thought mahbe someone you have some interesting signature to share with… but so far apparently I’m alone it seems… now I really feel like a weirdo. ☹ ---

My work one has my name, title and contact info. My personal one has a smarmy quote that I change from time to time. ---

My default sig does have my first name on it - as the email address itself does _not_ have my name so someone might genuinely not know who it was from. If I’m emailing a total stranger, I’ll manually type my full name. Then I do have a default quip (“insanity is hereditary, we get it from our kids”). ---

Mine reads “sent from my atari,” since I have so many e-mail ready gadgets, and no desire to flaunt all of them off like a jackass. Less tech savvy people ignore it since it means nothing to them, and nerds like me get a very tiny chuckle from it! ---

I only use one for my work email. It has name, title, contact info and the confidentiality crap. I also frequently circle through various song lyrics that I like to make it a bit less stuffy.
