The column about how unneccesary elmbaming of the dead is was interesting but i heard once that one reason for the popularity of the procedure was it ensured someone was really really dead

I remember this one. I said to myself when I first saw it, “Why are dead bodies embalmed? Because it’s illegal to embalm live ones!”

If you look over to the left, under your name, it says how many posts you have to date. Of course, there’s also the matter that your name isn’t familiar (after a while, you get to know folks around here), and many threads in this particular forum are started by newbies.
