# Embarrassing simple question about Marines' MTV

It’s embarrassing because I don’t know the answer!

I just got finishing watching _Battle: Los Angeles_. And something popped in my head in it that I thought before when seeing pictures of Marines wearing their MTVs (Modular Tactical Vest). When did the wearing of that patch on the center of the vest, above the MOLLE webbing with the EGA and name start happening. When I got out we were transitioning to the MTV from the Interceptor vests, so it has to be post-2006. From there I can’t really figure it out.
