today is evil emma kate’s 10th birthday! double digits. an entire decade. a “tween”. it is very hard to believe it has been 10 years since we would hold our breaths and click to see how evilbeth and evil emma kate were doing; hoping for good news. chanting “one pound”, then two, then three, and more in the famous sdmb rallying chant. happy first decade emmie. may there be many, many, happy and healthy decades ahead. ---

Has it been that long? It seems only . . . not yesterday, but not long ago . . . that I (among many others) waited on tenterhooks for the latest news, and felt a vague dread when opening the thread to see **evilbeth** ’s latest post, then relief when the news continued to be good. Happy birthday to sweet baby Emma who is really not a baby anymore, LOL… I remembered that thread when my own premature baby was born. It was reassuring to have something to reference. (Well, yes, he’s small. But Emma was way smaller than this and she’s just fine. James will be just fine too. Rinse and repeat for every alarming development.) Ten years! Wow.
