Not really. I’m involved with a shelter that receives inquiries from people who wanna volunteer but are declined. Typically there are long stories (known animal hoarders types of things).

Well, we actually don’t deal with money at all in my end of the operation. I’m in charge of the volunteers who work with the dogs. “Prosecuted” or “disappeared” might be more accurate if someone is found to be abusing the dogs. Probably “disappeared” or “found in a ditch”.
