Perhaps the fortune really was there, it was just invisible/out of phase/teleporting. It might mean that you are about to discover your latent mutant powers. “Have you tried NOT being a mutant?” ---

In 1924, the great mathematician Ernst Gödel proved that no system can be simultaneously complete and self-consistent. I’m not sure which limit you’ve hit, \*_hybrid\_dogfish_, but obviously you’ve hit _something_, perhaps the equivalent of a divide-by-zero error. Buy lottery tickets, but make out your will. ---

it means you should have sued the restaurant for short-changing you. you paid for a fortune cookie and all you got was a plain cookie. be sure to emphasize on the emotional distraught you felt at facing a future with no fortune/direction. ask for a million. at least. ---
