# Enabling cheats in Q3 v1.27g - /spdevmap DOESN'T WORK?!

Decided to fire up Quake III after a long while. Every website says that to turn on cheats in singleplayer mode you enter **/spdevmap ‘map’** in the console. But this doesn’t work! The game starts and if you try to enter any cheats it still says ‘Cheats are not enabled on this server’. It works if you do **/devmap ‘map’** but then your alone, no bots. I’m not trying to cheat against real people (I know how low that is) but won’t it allow you the pleasure of blasting the bots to bits? Did iD take this out with the version 1.27g upgrade and the websites haven’t been updated yet?
