# Engineer\_comp -- you closed the wrong thread!

“What would happen if somebody was re-arrested after dismissal” is (IMHO) actually the only interesting question our new member has asked. The lawyer shouting death threats and the witness protection candidate being “legally dead” are trivial, but the prospect of the government dismissing and then re-indicting to avoid the speedy trial statutes could generate some good discussion.

Just a thought…

Since you are so interested in it, I went ahead and re-opened it. 3 vs 4 active threads on similar topics isn’t that much of a big deal. I just don’t want it to turn into 10 or 20 similar simultaneous threads flooding the board.
