With Petrov’s sometimes less than enthusiastic approach to defending that has left us really exposed down that flank. But when we first got him I counted us lucky. I think it was Keegan who got Dunne off the booze - he was supposedly on the verge of being kicked out the club because of his ‘refueling’ habits. ---

Not “sky blue” scum. Blue scum! Which reminds me of a graffito I saw in a bus station in Brum. “Blue scum are a pile of cum.” Though it is a good 20 years since I have seen that I remember it like it was yesterday. I have never quite gotten my head around it, to tell you the truth.’’ In fact, I kind of have a soft spot for City. First top flight game I went to (on my own not with family) was City vs the Arse at Highbury, and I stood at the away end. Or away corner, as it was. Charlie Nicholas’ first season I believe - 1993-94? ---

The Blues saw off Newcastle with ease in the end, 5th place, UEFA spot, not bad 🙂 8-1, Jesus Christ - is that some sort of protest? See Richard Dunne was sent off, but apparently it has not affected Citeh’s fair play ranking (according to 5live just now). ---

I’m happy to see United win. Yeah it was bloody close for a while but I defy anyone to say the best team didn’t win. 3 less goals allowed, 16 more scored, 1 more game won and 2 more points. Chelsea still have a chance to ruin the party of course. Here’s hoping. And to think, in 7 years time I can cheer for Peterborough after winning the Premiership 🙂 . ---

i was pleased with the point at stamford bridge. Nice to be up by right instead of by goal difference. You could have got good odds betting on Bolton and Fulham staying up a month ago. ---

When all’s said and done not a bad footies season at all. OK so manure won the Premiership (again, groan) but I have to admit, and it hurts, they deserved it. Glad that Bolton and Wigan stayed up, not so chuffed about Fulham, I don’t like 'em for some reason. So fellers, WTF are we gonna do until August? ---
