Naaarch look doomed - even with Delia’s rabble rousing - losing a two goal lead is pretty dreadful. In other news Jermane Pennant’s been sent down for three months. Gotta love those gooners (I think they have their own wing at Pentonville)! ---

Watched Man City at Norwich last night. Man City looked totally at sea for the first 20 minutes, then had their moments. Beautiful goal by Ashton though. ---

I fell asleep about 15 minutes into the second half watching Spurs on Saturday (it was on quite late here) - watched the highlights the next day and felt robbed. How many of those four strikers will the club be able (want) to hold onto? I think you mentioned Keane was on the way out (story of his life). Will Jol be tempted by Ajax? Can’t see why, unless they offer ridiculous wedge. ---

FSC has all of the matches set up in two hour blocks, so at the end of regulation I went into the kitchen to fix some food, wondering, “How are they going to handle this?” When I came back in from the kitchen they’d already come back from break and shown just the winning penalty, I suppse. That was it. None of the extra time, and I don’t believe they even showed all of the penalty kicks. Tough break for Sheffield who played a spirited game on defense. Nice save by James on that header toward the end of reg. ---

Can’t see why, unless they offer ridiculous wedge. You didn’t have to watch the first 75 minutes in the freezing cold! Not sure what the plan is for the strikers. Bear in mind two of them are african (well sort of) and so we may lose both to some tin-pot cup. Also Mido is only on loan - and if he keeps playing as well as he has we may find that we have problems haning onto him. As for Jol: The only realistic reason he’s take the Ajax job is for sentimental reasons. Ajax are basically a Dutch version of Celtic - guarenteed CL football but god-awful once they get there. We have more money than them, so cash isn’t an issue, and also he has a more or less free hand at THFC, which he probably wouldn’t get at Ajax. So I hope he’ll stick with the Yids rather than go to the Joden. Incidentally his brother is also a fine coach - but is reluctant to come to England to work. He is called Cock Jol. That’s why. ---
