The woman is clearly quite mentally ill. My mother was a clinical therapist and when I was in high school she would drag me to the local mental health center’s community activites for the mentally ill to hang out with delusional/schizophrenic types. I also went on outings with them and provided Christmas musical entertainment at the state hospital for the mentally ill. The woman in the video is behaving exactly like what I witnessed on numerous occasions from people whose brains were out of order. Anyway, she deserves compassion, not ridicule. I understand the reaction of people to her in the restaurant, because after all, what can you do - she needs to be subdued and removed, not catered to. But that youtube video is just plain cruel. Our understanding of mental disorders is still in the dark ages, but chances are the brain chemistry of that woman is all fucked up and it is no more her own fault than if she had cancer. Laughing at her symptoms is unenlightened. You might as well point and laugh at someone with CP or Alzheimer’s. (And yes, I know I sound like a scold. Sorry.) . ---
