# Enough about Greece, what about Puerto Rico?

Lost in the shadow of the Greek economic problems is another place with bad money trouble: Puerto Rico.

The governor of PR [seems to think it’s inevitable](http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/29/news/economy/puerto-rico-default/index.html?iid=hp-stack-intl) that PR will default on its debts. They’ve racked up a whopping $73 Billion of red ink.

So, how will this play out?

Not as serious; its a United States territory, not an independent country with the option of walking away from a currency.

That said, its not a good situation for anybody.
