Christ, you don’t get extra points because your goalie sprawls all over the fucking ice making _miraculous saves._ In fact, if your goalie has to make a lot of stick or kick saves then it means that he was out of position. It’s like arguing that a pitcher didn’t pitch a no hitter because he walked a batter or two. ---

I’ll try to clear up any confusion here. I am not mad the ducks beat the wings. True, the wings are my favorite team, but I am a fan of the sport and as long as the is hockey to watch or play, I am happy. If I thought Jiggy had any skill, I would be happy to see him win. All I see is a big man plugging a net. Even worse, I see every hockey analyst falling all over themselves to proclaim him the next Patrick Roy. Granted, he is a fair goalie. However size is not a skill. Skydive, don’t tell me about great crowds. Minnesota sold out regularly when they sucked. deb2world, your right. Naming a team after nature is much worse then naming them after a handfull of crappy Emilio Esteves movies. Maybe Dallas should change their name to the Young Guns. And to Jiggy himself, renegotiate your contract now, before your the next Irbe, but be don’t be a dick. Otherwise people won’t treat you like crap when your the next Theodore. ---

Now now, just because Jiggy is big doesn’t mean he doesn’t have skills. If that were true Zedno Chara would be backstopping the Sens. If you’ll recall Gump Worsely, one of the greatest goatenders prior to the “masked era” was a hefty bag who excelled at filling the net. If it’s a matter of being bit then why did Grant Fuhr’s career go down the crapper when he gained 20+ pounds in the latter half of the 90’s? Plus you must have missed some truly jawdropping saves Jiggy made during the first Detroit game - in overtime no less. Plenty of goaltenders have been suspect for having oversized equipment, in fact if I’m not mistaken, Roberto Loungo (Florida Panthers) was accused of the very same thing and yet he didn’t carry his team to the playoffs. Man these grapes taste sour… ---

I didn’t mean he was fat, i meant he is big tall. Compared to the others I listed, he fills more of the net. For me, things ended with Philly. I didn’t like them, but Philly/Toronto and Philly/Ottowa were fun series. ---

Cujo - 5’11" Giguere - 6’0" Fernandez - 6’0" Rolloson - 6’1" Roy - 6’2" Harborwolf, you’re grasping at straws, man. He fills more net because he stays square to the shooter virtually the whole game. Put William “The Fridge” Perry in there, he’ll fill up the net, but without talent, he can’t stop 112 of 113 shots in a series. Also, not immediately flopping into a butterfly, will make you large in net; Gig went down only when he absolutely needed to. He’s no Patrick Roy (at this point in time), the comparison is not there when he doesn’t have full numerous championships and awards like Roy does. You know what fun is? Fun is watching Modano’s uprising arms and a smile turn to bewilderment when he found out Jiggy stoned him! Fun is also chanting: GO HOME RED WINGS…clap…clap…clap,clap,clap And don’t forget, we still owe you another playoff sweep. ---

Goalies all used to be fat in the old days, so I don’t consider Giguere’s size to be unfair in any way. But they are a fluke team with no real skillz, and they’re going to be right back in mediocrity next year, just like the Angels are this year. And Disney is pure, unadulterated evil. The only thing that would be worse is if the Blues (Bill Laurie) or Avs (Stan Kroenke) won, since WalMart is _more_ evil. And it takes alot to be more evil than Disney. ---

Hey asshole, Ducks rule. I went to game 4 of the series vs. the Red Wings. It was lots of fun, tons of anahiem fans all going crazy. Also went to a few regular season games. Lots of Anehiem love in the air… ahhhhh But no it’s not a sports town… LA is crazy with the lakers, but thats about as sportsy as we get. The ducks, the angels, and the lakers are within 45 minutes of each, ducks and angels are across the street. Oh yea, who is patrick roy? actually don’t answer that, I don’t give a shit… no body does. Who cares who our goalie is immitating, he ownz joo. Blocking pucks is hard, no matter how fast thy ass may be. And lastly, you fuckcheeser… Disney plans on selling the ducks, they already dropped the angels like a bad habit. Disney blows and I do hope they sell.
