There many spiders there too. You cannot escape spiders they are all over place. Unless you want to live in the Antarctica.
The country will have more of them than a densely populated city. But even in city there are building spiders that make webs !!! Than you got the rats ,rodents and cockroaches too in the city.
spiders don’t bother me too much (the bad news ones like brown recluse or black widow are rare where I live.)
now yellow jackets. Yellow jackets. Those sonsabitches can die in a fire. Of all the times I’ve been stung in my life, all but one has been from a yellow jacket.
Seriously, fuck wasps.
There’s a sting in that piece of tail.
We bought a home in the country 15 years ago and somehow moved all our stuff in w/o introducing roaches or fleas. So I have never used a single organic or chemical pesticide in the house, and only seldom have had to treat anything outside (organically, of course, but organic poisons are still poisons, people forget that). Well, I love spiders. I’m surprised I can’t see a brown recluse from my desk. Wolf spiders and orb spiders are my favorites, the wolfies come inside, the orbs live on the gallery porches and in the gardens. I do vacuum up the recluses twice a week, they are 100% non aggressive but the area around their nests gets kinda messy. Their venom is described as necrotizing. A woman I know lost most of her right buttock to a recluse bite (suffered in her own home), I mentioned Cunegonde to her and got a blank look, serves me right. I did kill the black widow I found in the mailbox one day. We have snakes, too. Snakes are cool…
