Ok, I didn’t want to dip into this well yet again, but enough is enough.

As has been proven [time](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=306226) and [time](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=365749) and [time](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=368898) and [time](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=376455) again, the SDMB cures colds. And after three fricking weeks of this on-again/off-again illness being traded around by myself, my wife and my daughter, it’s time to put a stop to this crap.

Oh Mystical SDMB Curative, do your stuff!

Well, we _could_ cure your cold, but then you’d have to go through the initiation ritual again. And the animal rights people won’t let us get a new goat.

I wanted to start a rant about all the sick people at my workplace, but I’ll just do it here instead. 😃

We seem to constantly be recycling the same germs at work, once everyone gets sick it starts over again, apparently mutating just enough to be infective again. I am getting tired of it myself. There were at least 3 sniffley sneezy staff walking around the clinic today\*. Tonight I bought some airborne and I am going to take it every few hours and perhaps sings some chants and rub my fat cat’s bellies (I don’t have a Buddha) for luck. I wish the grocery store still had some of that pickled garlic. Mmm … and garlic is a natural antibiotic, even germs won’t want to come near you. Give some garlic a try, in any form … except maybe ice cream.

\*At least The Crazed Lysol Sprayer wasn’t there today. That’s even worse, as she unloads almost an entire can which aggravates my asthma. I’ll take my chances with the germs, thankyouverymuch.
