That’s how the [headline](http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1151519) reads. I wish there was a bit more detail. Did a saucy little Chianti accompany the meal? Elephants have very large molars; I guess they could grind up bones and large pieces of meat, but it would seem to be difficult. He must have been very angry. ---

Somewhere, some bookie is probably taking long odds on it being an extremely rare _Elephas maximus indicus_, Var. _Zombificus George Romerous_. Was it doing a slow shambling shuffle? Was it observed to have an unhealed flesh wound prior to the onset of the attack? Was there a dead, vacant look in its eyes? Were the other elephants running away from it in stark terror? Did it emit a foul, pestilent odor (other than ordinary elephantine odors, that is)? Someone should put in a call Max Brooks… and if anyone cares to take a whack at my improvised Latin [Pig Latin, more likely], please feel free. ---
