Entering the UK With Porn on Computer

Interesting bit of trivia. One of the early deniable encryption systems was called Rubberhose. There were two developers. One of them was Julian Assange.

I’m pretty sure that’s an offense under s63(7)b of the 2008 Act

When you pry it from my moist, red hand!

If your computer with porn on it breaks, don’t take it to Best Buy for repairs.

Since this involves legal advice, let’s move it to IMHO.

Bah!
You can get flash drive sticks of much higher capacity now. (I got some 32G recently at a surplus store quite cheaply.) Those are small enough to be concealed in your luggage safe enough for any normal search. And if you are really worried that you will get especially searched, there is always the old drug smugglers trick: encase the flash drive in a condom & insdert up your rectum.

Anal porn.

I solved it using one weird trick:

Googled porn, without doing an image search.

How so? Are you assuming his “friend” is into solo porn?

Yeah. My friend has decided to just wipe everything questionable on his computer and not try to encrypt it or anything like that. He doesn’t want to be forced (at threat of not entering the country) to open an encrypted folder.

He tells me he will be just fine without porn for the trip. After all, as I think I mentioned before; the salient point was not making sure he had porn on the trip but simply avoiding having to locate it and remove it all.

As I recall, what happend in Aus is that there was adverse publicity surrounding the fact that Australian models were appearing in magazines that they couldn’t (as under 18) legally buy.

And this, I have heard, is the reason why pictures of sitting on someones face are illegal. You might sufficate them.

Just don’t take a picture of yourself doing so, because then you will be in possession of “an image that depicts an act which results in or is likely to result in serious injury to a person’s anus,” in contravention of Sections 63 to 67 of the aforementioned act.

Honestly don’t know why OP is worrying…

Unless you’re wearing a shirt with ‘Allahu Akbar’, Julian Assange etc…then I don’t think UK officials will be interested in searching your computer.

To the contrary, the only bother if your ‘profile’ along with history would suggest that you would be an extremely sketchy individual…

And even if they do search it, they’ll probably not go through it well. I heard that one of my classmates had nudes of his underage girlfriend but he organized his folders neatly. He was stopped because he was on a school trip but the officers jut let him go after searching 3-4 minutes.
