And in case anyone wasn’t sure, he was the Shrek-looking Orion that T’pol kicked.

Kinda why they call him Big Show.

Don’t forget the prestige angle in having slaves. Doesn’t matter how many machines you have (unless you’re Fajo). It’s the people you have control over.

parse THAT, **Viva**!

Given her continud lack of regulation uniform, I will assume it’s not a StarFleet commission. More like a permanently attatched member of the crew from the Vulcan Consulate.

Or, I could be wrong. :dubious:

I liked half this episode quite a bit. Spiner-as-Soong and the Orion slave plot was interesting, unpredictable, and engaging. The crew member freaking out in the cage was an excellent touch.

The other half, the Tribe of Marc Singer Lookalikes, bored me to tears.

Spock was never stated to be the first Vulcan in Starfleet, only the first to graduate from the Academy.

> Spock is a fictional character in the Star Trek media franchise. Originally played by actor Leonard Nimoy, Spock first appeared in the original Star Trek series serving aboard the starship USS Enterprise as science officer and first officer, and later as commanding officer of two iterations of the vessel. He was THE BEASTMASTER!

And he was also in the two “V” miniseries and regular series.

Because NCB constructed his sentence properly and the preposition did not cause it to be awkward, he has escaped parsing.

This time. 😉

I just started watching again. I dropped it after the first season but think I’ll start watching again (especially if they really drop that themesong). Can someone catch me up on who Brent Spiner’s character is and how those guys in all the leather are related to Kahn?

I don’t know how the supermen are related to Khan’s followers but I do know Spiner’s character is some relative of Noonien Soong\*, Data’s creator.

\*Not to be confused with Khan Noonien Singh, aka KHAAAAAAAAAAAN!

The Dune boys were embryos left from the Eugenic Wars that Soong augmented even further, or something like that.

[Who is Marc Singer?](http://www.publispain.com/super-posters/Actors-MarcSingerBeastmaster.htm)

Very astute, Cervaise. I didn’t realize that this was who these guys reminded me of—I just knew that they were very '80s.

The episode was okay. Liked Brent Spiner. Look forward to next week.
