Since he wanted the Wild Turkey to be the national bird, I reckon he was a bourbon man. That and the French helping out and all. Oh hell, do we have to have “Freedom Whiskey” now? ---

This thread’s gone all confusing. I’m bewildered by the American Idol/Ben Franklin references. I don’t quite get how the phenomena are related, unless the Nasty British Dude is equated with George III in some way, and the viewer voting thing is symbolic of the evolution of American electoral practices. Is that it? Did I get it? Do I win a cookie? ---
