Hello. Back to the OP, I like this show. Honestly. And I enjoy all the Treks except the last half of DS9 and all of Voyager. I guess because I don’t take its mythology so seriously, I let my mind suspend disbelief and go with the fantasy. Just think: our lifetimes could be used to build the foundation for that depicted generation, if only we could get our heads right! gives a shit about makeup. Feh ---

Bah, you don’t like DS9. Your opinion doesn’t matter! Seriously though, I’m a huge Trek fanboy and I suspend my disbelief as well. Hell, I even like The Final Frontier and Nemesis 'cause the former was so bad that it became good and the latter 'cause it had **ROMULANS~!** (even if the main villain was a human clone and most of the aliens were Remans, not their Romulan masters) as the antagonists. The only time I get worked up is when they take some really basic tenant of the franchise (like the Borg being unknown or the Klingons having browridges in the 22nd Century) and totally screwing it over. Otherwise, my brain just goes on auto-pilot and I enjoy it for what it is: escapist fantasy. I’d seriously love to live in the 24th Century. I’m that big of a geek. ---
