Ooh, ooh, next week we get CORPSES! Super exciting - thanks for the heads up, **NCB** Well, yeah, **Cervaise** , it wasn’t exactly the Magical Wonder Ride O’ Fun, and maybe we do overreact when we see something that doesn’t outright make us all vomit (in unison), but what the hell, that’s gotta be worth something. Any time I can say “at least they didn’t…” that’s pretty good, because there have been lotsa episodes of late when I couldn’t even say that much. Let’s hope the coolness and un-patheticness is on the rise. Seems unlikely, but, hell, hope springs eternal. Kisses, Kn(too lazy to type the rest of my name) ---

I liked Ttrriipp’'ss “I think we should see what the Cap’n has to say before I sign our death warrant and invalidate all our contracts by getting shot at by four or more hostile ships.” That was some fortuitous timing! “Scotty, NOW would be good time!” “Duh huh! My unner wayre is flame retarted. Doan mean nut’n.” I think the Vulcan Ambassador’s aide was named T’Prick. on _Enterprise_ scale, this is a B. Maybe B-. Compared to some of my faves from all series, C. (Last week was an incomplete. Did not come even close to passing. _Shades of Grey_ was better.) But… It wasn’t a failure. It shows that the franchise can still work, if done well. Be more weller! ---

Seriously, all I’m asking for is an acknowledgement of what’s actually going on, narratively and dramatically: “Hey! What’s _he_ doing on the screen!” - “Get out of here, ya pointy-earned bastard!” - “Stand down, lapis lazuli insect, or be vaporized!” - before Trip sez, “Hey, now, settle down, kids.” It just rubbed me wrong, like they skipped a step in the storytelling, which happens all too frequently with the show. It tells me the writers aren’t paying attention, which is extremely annoying. ---

I’m sure the Andorians were like “Hey, those pointy ears are hailing the pinkskins, we better do so also!” so they weren’t surprised (and had time to make up that “Don’t want you to get hurt by the debris of the Vulcan ships” joke) ---

**Achernar** , Combs also played the Ferengi **Brunt** on DS9. In at least one episode he appeared as both Brunt and Weyune (although not in the same scene that I can recall). _Cease Fire_ was the best episode so far this season (although there wasn’t much for it to compete against). Last season was a lot better, but it seemed that they sort of lost direction for a while. Hopefully this episode is indication they’re finding a solid feel for the show and the characters. Eric ---

Yeah, the Vulcan and Andorian screaming at each other with Tripp asking for decorum would’ve been cool, but I will accept Tars explanation. Heck, if I got to write it there would be more red shirts on less clevage. Combs said in an interview that Brunt and Weyoun were did not share any scenes in the mentioned episode of DS9. ---

The Internet Movie Database lists Brunt under Combs’s filmography, but not under his TV guest appearances, which is why I missed it. So that brings his character total to a whopping six! After a good bit of searching, I managed to find the episode where he played both Weyoun and Brunt - “The Dogs of War”. I _also_ managed to find _another_ episode where he played two characters - “Far Beyond the Stars”. If you recall in this episode, many people had two roles, so I don’t really know if this counts as a seventh role. ---
