Thanks, y’all, for rememberizing my birthday! So far, I got: some rain, devil’s food cake, cards, money, two dinner invites, some little accessory jobby for my cell phone, and a package I need to open… Whoa, it’s Yankee Candle tealights, a bunch of Burt’s Bees stuff, and a votive lamp from a very generous pal. Nautical People Have Their Ship Together. So sez one of my bumper stickers. Speaking of which, I still have a few ENT bumper stickers trumpeting the new night and time. Email me if you want one. ---

This, my 5000th post, is dedicated to all our AWOL Trekkers. If it were not for them, I would probably still be at 2,000, if that. After all, it is them (and you) that got me to post in the first place and my very first post on these boards was in a Trek thread started by **cplant**. If I knew that 4,999 posts later, I’d still be stuck with him, I might not have made it but overall, this has been a wonderful 22 months. _ **Q’apla!** _ ---

So it looks like flowers, huh? Okay, I can get that. Actually it’s a ship … or a boat … or a sloop … or something - we were on the topic and I found a nice picture for Viva. Speaking of pictures, if you think you guys have a lot of time on your hands and spend too much time on the SDMB, then take a look at what [these](http://choco.2ch.net/kao/kako/1015/10156/1015675389.html) people have done. _I believe you need to set your browser to (secondarily) display Japanese_. Also, was there a Weird Earl’s recently on the SDMB that referenced [this](http://www.syberpunk.com/cgi-bin/index.pl) area? It eventually points to the artwork above. _My memory is failing me_. If so, then good. If not, then I could start a thread and point other Dopers to this incredible artwork. ---

I should also point out that the sentence **Being Southern, did you expect anything else?** is a good example of a dangling modifier. Thank you for providing today’s shining example. 😉 ---
