Well, I _have_ been drinking. And biting kittens. At least the Trek stuff Kirk wrote had continuity and action, even though he is a ham, even in his writing. My main point was B&B need to step it up. Take a risk. Go where no one has gone before again. I weep for _Firefly_. ---

I’ve not watched most of the episodes because of how awful most of them were. Then I watched this episode. I’m back on board. My hopes for next season, based upon this episode: Space Marines? Yes!!! No more of this “non-interference” BS that has limited the stories thus far. Maybe more of the “warship” diplomacy that I’ve been craving for. Space Madness!!! Could there be some semblance of an episodic arc in the making? I really hope so. Less understanding and compassion, more death and misery! As for continuity, I’m treating Enterprise as fan-fic from now on. This is no longer part of the Star Trek universe for me. I don’t care if B&B says it is. Anyways, I’m hoping B&B have finally gotten the shot in the arse they need to make some truly compelling Sci-Fi. That is all. ---

When Vulcan ambassador stick in the mud guy was showing the video footage of the last ship to come out of the Whatchamacallit Expanse… did anybody else get an “Event Horizon” vibe? If Sam Neill shows up wreathed in flames next season, I am so outta here… ---

I was going to issue another correction for Archer’s use of the word “anxious” when it almost always means “eager,” but decided to lay off this time since the crew might be both re: entering the expanse. I was a bit surprised that he sided with Vengeful Trip, though I’m not sure why. And did you notice he’s calling Travis “Mr. Mayweather” now? It’s about time. Speaking of whom, Trinneer did a good job with Worried Trip, Sad Trip, Let It Go Trip, and I Want to Kick Some Ass Trip as well. He’s so full of rage now that he could become a liability. It’ll be interesting to see what becomes of him in Season 3. Billingsley was wonderful when he tore into the Vulcan shrink. But since when do Vulcan names start with an “F”? Fahrat? Wtf? No Porthos, no Chef? Oh, well, they’re casualties of the 39-minute hour. Damn UPN. Aesiron: if you don’t see this one, I will have a back-up. ---

I’m hoping _Cease Fire_ reruns sometime during the summer. 😃 Oh yeah… by the way, I’m listening to some Tool (the most awesomest band ever) right now and _Aenima_ just went off. A couple of the stanzas in it made me think of this episode: Some say a comet will fall from the sky. Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves. Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still. Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipsticks. Some say the end is near. Some say we’ll see armageddon soon. I certainly hope we will 'cause I sure could use a vacation from this Silly crap, stupid crap… One great big festering neon distraction, I’ve a suggestion to keep you all occupied. Re: continuity. Remember that in the episodes farther in the future, nobody talks about the whale probe or the Borg events of First Contact. Just because nobody talks about it doesn’t mean that it never “happened”.
