Well, my theory is the Ringworld is God’s wedding ring that he threw away after his divorce left him a single dad. But we will see how my theory plays out, they are about to land or dock with it. ---

Actually, **Joan** was pretty good. But I still didn’t think Aes would care for it. I think it’s time for one of my little ENT teleplays. I wrote about four of them in these threads last year. And **Kn\*ckers** always enjoyed them. Maybe it’ll bring her back! Will have to do it tomorrow, though; not enough energy left tonight. ---

Actually, I watched _Joan of Arcadia_ last night and was going to ask if anyone else had today. I liked it… assuming it doesn’t get cancelled, I’ll probably watch it regularly. What about it made you think I wouldn’t like it? ---

[Here](http://web.syr.edu/~rsholmes/reads/books/known_space.html) is a simplified Known Space chronology. [This site](http://www.chronology.org/niven/) has some details. I would start with _Ringworld_. Even tho it is far off in KS, it’s the best of the early stuff. [Abby](http://www.sexy-superheroine-models.com/69a.htm) says, “Hi!” [Lots](http://www.larryniven.org/) of new stuff. Say Hi to the [Pak](http://www1.tip.nl/~t619162/pak.htm)! [Bibliography](http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/authors/Larry_Niven.htm). Many Known Space works are not even Niven. He authorised others to write stories set in Known Space. After _Ringworld_, read the anthology _Tales of Known Space_. Sometime in all this, you must read _The Mote In God’s Eye_. Not part of Known Space, but an amazing tale of it’s own. Did I miss anything? ---

Like the two _Left Behind_ movies they’ve made so far. I approach such films the same way I approach the _X-Men_: they take place in an alternate reality where God/the Antichrist/Mutant powers really exist and follow their own laws. Just because I know there is no way on Earth a genetic mutation can give you optic blasts or teleportation doesn’t mean I don’t root for Cyclops or Nightcrawler. (Or Cyclops’s brother Havok. He was always my favorite. He had that whole terrible-power-I-can’t-control angst thing going for him, and wasn’t afraid to get all mushy with girly mutants.) ---
