Well, I thought it was a fairly decent episode. I still wish that the show wasn’t so \* GRAY, \* dammit! And I spent too much time trying to figure out which Klingon was being played by Granville Van Dusen (he was the Magistrate–wasn’t that gavel-hand thing strange?! LOL). Please don’t wish bad things \ on Porthos! I like him! 🙂 And I’m looking forward to next week’s episode, which will (finally!) feature Travis!! ---

I’m quite certain that Nimoy was born in Boston. He was raised Orthodox Jewish. * * * Pretty good. I liked the dialogue in the Tribunal scenes in this one very much; Hertzler has a wonderful voice as well. And Bakula can act a lot better when his character has something to be pissed about. For some reason, he also looks a bit more attractive to me when he isn’t clean-shaven. I was surprised by the revelation about there being other classes among Klingons besides warriors. That ending was weak, though; I mean, how could Reed and Archer just bound up the stairs to freedom? Wouldn’t a guard have noticed, or did T’Pol bribe them all? Hi, **Kn\*ckers!**. Oooh, are you gonna be p’d when you find that there is barely any Trip and certainly no Blue-Undied Trip this time around. Guess they thought they’d give him a breather for a while and make him wear his uniform. Pity for us, though. ☹ Mmmm…raw **Tars**. Oops, I meant Targ! It must have been a Vivian slip. They gave poor Hoshi the Travis Treatment this time. Speaking of Travis…what’s up with next week’s “Horizon” episode? Is he leaving the ship or something? Do you think anyone will notice? Travis who? ---

Aes: I can’t, 'cause Shatner is both Canadian and Jewish. Were you referring to something else? NCB: Nimoy did indeed borrow the Vulcan salute from a religious gesture that he was not supposed to witness. He peeked at somebody performing it (I don’t think they hold their hand up, but I don’t know for sure) in the synagogue when he was young and transformed it into the Vulcan salute. Why do I know stuff like this?? ---

You’d think as a huge Trekker, I’d know these things but I’ve _never_ known Shatner was Jewish. And don’t feel bad, I recognize your anecdote from one of the Trek biographies. 🙂 One of Shatner’s _Memories_ books, I believe. ---

It looks like int he Travis episode it is no longer Tubs from Miami Vice, but a dude from GTA:VC. I guess TrekToday got confused because Tubs was also in GTA:VC. Sadly, this will result in lower ratings. ---

Did you know… that Doohan lost a finger in WW2 and that the TOS producers went to great lengths to hide it from our view? …that Connor Trinneer is not actually from Missouri, Arkansas, or Florida? …that my head is so clogged with trivia that I really should start making the rounds on game shows? ---

Errr! Wrong! It wasn’t the producers that went to great lengths to not show the finger, it was Doohan himself. But it slipped through on the scene in “The Trouble with Tribbles” and it looks like his finger’s being eaten by one of the little furballs. Ha! ::throws down geeky gauntlet:: ---
