There was a Star Trek: TOS category on Jeopardy the other day. Iā€™ve only seen one episode of it and I was able to get right all the questions in the category. So turns out these threads arenā€™t pointless after all. ---

No, but he did give a speech that went like this: ā€œDo you want the fucking Xindi to blow up all your shit?ā€ Crew: NOOOOOO! ā€œDo you want your kids to grow up speaking Vulcan?ā€ Crew: NOOOOOOOOOOO! ## ā€œDo you want to get off this ship full of sweaty men and boys and go find some women?ā€ Crew: Nnnnā€”Uhā€¦Umā€¦ šŸ˜ƒ He also bickered with the shipā€™s doctor, laid down the law when necessary although he didnā€™t enjoy it, and warned a midshipman not to get too friendly with the crew because theyā€™d see it as weakness and despise him for it later. It was cool. ---

But they leave out Marturinā€™s espionage, and Diana and Sophie. Master and Commander was the first book, Far Side of the World the tenth. Jack is a dummy on land, and Marturin is an idiot about things nautical. Grumble, gumble. ---
