Actually, BOT established the much earlier introduction, the Romulan War. Of course, they must remain unseen, but killing humans was a pretty noticable introduction. 😉 ---

I was going to say they’d need some way of explaining why we never see their faces, but I assumed it was unneccesary in this thread. ---

If they are going to be a part of the Vulcan Civil War, they could be shown as much as they wanted to show them… after all, no one’s going to know the difference between the two species. ---

Sadly, the move to Friday night will hinder my participation, since on Friday nights our socializing usually involves going out with friends. I doubt my wife will be too pleased if I start skipping that to hang out with online friends. ---

Spock indicates they split of very long ago. “If, as I suspect they are realted to Vulcans” (not an exact quote). He also says they were never seen during the War. Not their damn ears were never seen, they were never seen. That aside, this series should cover the war with the Romulans. BTW, does the reference in BOT say the war was with the Federation or Earth? ---

I’m not sure if it’s cannon (of course, what is?) but in one of the books, it said that the Romulans left Vulcan 1,000 years before the Next Generation era. The left when the whole logic idea started sweeping the planet. ---

Unfortunately, by the time I was able to watch it, the bulk of the discussion was usually over and my contribution was often limited to the occasional parody, limerick, or bad joke. I had hoped, since I’m no longer working nights, that I would have been able to show up before the party was over and the dishes were being done (so to speak). It’s the Earth/Romulan Wars and I doubt very seriously that only after a thousand years, the Romulans would have evolved enough to be distinguishable from their Vulcan counterparts. Even after three millennia, the Japanese and Chinese still look pretty similar. They could easily interfere with no one being the wiser. And **Linus** , have you forgotten that I’ve been posting to the threads without seeing the episode until at least a week later for a year now? Like you actually have to see the episodes to post to the threads. And I always knew you loved me as evidenced by your tacit agreement to **Cervaise** ’s comment that I’m part of the reason he’ll be coming back. 😃 ---
