Okay, I just finally saw this episode, and I managed to avoid this thread until now, to keep from being spoiled. Now I get here, and it’s nine pages (for me)! And without even reading any of them, I’m sure they have nothing to do with the episode at this point; I know you guys. 😉 Well I’m not going to catch myself up; here’s my comments: I liked it, but that WTF was up with the ending?!?!?! Hasn’t he ever heard of a warning shot? Probably my favorite part of this episode was that it wasn’t just the seven main crew members. A lot of other people had minor roles. I’d like to see more of that. We also got to see how much of a dork Phlox is. “Whaaa. The panel won’t come off! I used every muscle I’ve got!” 🙂 ---

Speaking of the intercom guidance scene: once again, we see shades of That Damn Defusing Scene from the Minefield episode. Do the ENT powers that be have some obsession with people being instructed to do highly complex tasks they don’t understand? Because we’ve seen it several times this season, and it’s as boring a thing to watch as the post-mortem synchronized swimming semi-finals. Not that I watch synchronized swimming… Re: Previous digressions in this thread - So very SDMB-esque to find a lighthearted Star Trek conversation dissolving into a comparative study of the deities of ancient Norse mythology. Gotta love it. Now can I have my panda back? ---

**carnivorousplant** : In a way, I’m glad that Archer is being shown as less civilized even than Kirk, so we can see a sort of evolution. Still, it took me way by surprise. But the Prime Directive would have no bearing on this situation, since the tastebud-lacking doofuses were clearly not pre-warp. And yes, I know the Phlox thing was realistic. That’s what I liked about it, aside from its comical aspect. 🙂 I wanted to make a sexual joke about Phlox rocking T’Pol screaming, “What’s my name?! WHAT’S MY NAME?!” but I lack the inventiveness of some people here. 🙂 And why did he need to do that, anyway? The thing that flew out of her head was blue, so clearly, she was okay. ---

**Kn\*ckers** is _shocked_? :eek: Now _that’s_ bizzaar. **Achernar** , 12 pages? What browser do you use? This thread is currently at 4 in mine. The first two actually had a lot to do with the episode in the thread title. Except for all of **Viva** ’s posts. I don’t think she even watches the shows anymore. **Carni** and I did a real nice Norse mythology and Hitler dialouge about halfway through the thread, it being a real boring Sunday for both of us. Historians may like some of the links provided. I don’t know about you math guys. 😛 **Tars** revealed just how tigertamerphobic he is.
