Dammit. I say we whack the last five minutes of this episode and end the series. Stole the “I am getting very tired of you” scene. Mice cocktails. Yum. Tell Hoshi gravity works very well in the weapon, thank you very much. I _knew_ killing Archer off was too good to be true, but I thpught the Andorians would have rescued him, not some stupid ass Nazi time travel bullshit. ---

The only skin is covered with half inch thick skin colored Clearasil. Details? OK, a rather nice episode where Archer dies destroying the weapon platform despite Dire Warnings from Crewman Daniels. Shran the Andorian shows up to save the under armed Xindi ship, which is kind of cool action wise, but sucks plot wise. Deux e Machina (sp), hey they are foreigners. Returning to Earth, there is no signal from Star Fleet (And all the Happy “Wicked Archer is Dead” Viewers start to mumble about “Time Travel Shit”) and a shuttle pod is attacked by P-51 Mustangs. At least TOS did it with 104 starfighters. Cool. But I digress. Cut to Nazis in a medical tent wondering who the wounded Archer is, Various Nazis stare a Archer, including someone who would look like a Reptilian if you could peel them like a crawdad, the closed captioning goes to “If you haven’t driven a Ford lately…” ---

I’m not sure how to take your posts. If they’re serious, which I am unsure of due to our traditions of posting fake spoilers, then I don’t get the episode at all. If they \*\*are \*\* a joke, then that explains itself. ---

It’s a nice action episode with a stupid time travel cliff hanger ending. I wish they’d left Archer dead. Damn. ---

Damn? Was that in reply to me or to the episode? I’m apparently pretty dense tonight, judging from this conversation and one or two others. Moving on to the episode, you actually expected the Captain on a Trek show to stay dead? April, Pike, and Kirk are probably all kicking around the Alpha Quadrant somewhere. Starfleet captains just don’t die. ---

Sooo…is it “sacrifice of angels” or “what you leave behind”? That is - is the Xindi weapon-destroying a blatant cop-opt or something interesting or at least sensible? (It says something that I’m comparing Ent. to DS9, ne? So, Archer is destroying the Weapon and some _quantum_ fluctuations cause him to _leap_ just as the weapon explodes and he is about to die. He wakes in a medical tent with Nazis all around. He escapes and wanders the countryside. He saves a boy by pulling him out of the way of a speeding manure wagon. He _leaps_ into a new person and the boy is shaken and hears his mother calling, “Adolph, kommen Sie essen!” He wakes in medieval times and tries to prevent injustice only to start the Spanish Inquisition. Just as the king remarks, “Because of your foul presense on this land, all of the toilets shall henceforth be known as … ‘Johns’”, he _leaps_ into yet another person. This time it is as a TV producer starting a new TV series about the early days of a beloved but over worked franchise called “Star Trek.” And so, Jonathan Archer finds himself _leaping_ from life to life as he finds himself screwing up situations that were going right in the new series, “Quantum Bites”. ---
