You know the old Hollywood story. A man or woman isn’t doing all that well in their field and so sell their soul to the devil for a few years of fame. For the sake of fun, say it can happen 😃 Who currently has done so? I submit - Katie Perry. Wasn’t doing so well then bam…seems everpresent over past couple of years. I bet Katie Perry signed the blood signature! ---

Shortly after that, Family Guy became very popular on Cable and Fox decided to order more episodes. Then the network decided to go to him for two more shows. I wouldn’t say his career was over when Family Guy was origininally cancelled, but I would say that things didn’t look to good for him. Then pow, he’s suddenly riding a crest of popularity. I would also argue that his shows really aren’t very good with the angry humor and treating some of the characters so poorly. I know that he has his fans and I watched Family Guy when it first came out but I can’t watch it any more. American Dad and Cleveland are too similar as well. And I like the Simpsons and yes I still like it even though I know it’s past its glory days. ---

Andie MacDowell. Why she has (had?) an acting career I’ll never know. Sure, she was very pretty… but not gorgeous, and not pretty enough to make up for her dreadful dearth of acting talent. ---

I like Family Guy, but I agree its bizarre how Macfarlene has gone from one canceled TV show to FOX basically letting him make as many simultaneously running cartoon shows with the same premise as he wants. ---

You can go even further back with MacFarlane, just the fact that he got Family Guy on the air the first time is pretty amazing. He was barely out of college and as I recall had no TV experience but yet was given a Network animated show. Also there is the whole 9/11 thing… In case you never heard the story, he was supposed to be on one of the flights that was crashed into the WTC but was late and missed the plane [insert Twilight Zone music here]. ---
