Turner Classic Movies only did the Monsterfests for June, dredging up old black and white sci-fi from the 50’s. Interesting in only a historical way, they really were quite boring. Primitive special effects, shrieking women, loooooong conversations between dull men, and the old “I’m a scientist but I’m also a WOMAN” thing. Though Village of the Giants was quite amusing.
CBS’s “Read More About It” segments (the best of these had the CBS eye w/initials in the “eyeball” on a TV screen that opened up like a book and had a fast page-flipping effect)
