# Epic Games to make new Unreal Tournament, will be open-source and free (and not just free-to-play)

To me, it never got better than the original Unreal Tournament. That game would run on a Casio wristwatch connected to the internet via smoke signals which was great for me because that’s essentially what my rig was at the time.
