> [@astorian](#): > > Is a song that goes on for 8+ minutes automatically an epic, or is there more to the definition? No; it’s not the length - although many epic tracks are long. It’s the style of music. Another example where the intent is in the title: [Epic #38](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj9ctdrer5k) by Grace Slick. Soaring, kitchen sink music. Although, looking at some of the recommendations here, some people have different definitions. ---

One for [the Tenth Doctor](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67goV9LyI5o), and one for [the Eleventh Doctor](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emy8E3ZtvVM) (In 7/4 time, i.e. it adds up to eleven).
