“The Republicans” could beat Trump. But the problem is, “The Republicans” isn’t an entity that’s trying to do that. If the party as a whole stabbed Trump in the back, the party as a whole would thrive, but the decisions aren’t made by the party, but by individuals. And any individual who stabbed Trump in the back would get primaried by someone more loyal to Trump (or at least, who appeared to be more loyal to him). ---

And what’s currently in the public domain about Trump and sexual abuse of minors is also bad stuff. That was already in the public domain before his first election. It didn’t matter. ---

I’m starting to come around to the opinion that if evidence surfaced that showed Trump was beyond all doubt guilty of raping children who had been kidnapped and trafficked… Then, the MAGAts would declare pedophilia to be a fantastic thing that everyone should do, that raping young girls was just fine. And the other R’s would go along, or just say “Oh, I have not heard anything about that, I’m just much too busy.” ---

He is known to have acted as a peeping tom at his beauty pageants, spying on women changing. Some of them were fifteen years old. He admitted it. He boasted of it. He thinks that a history of sexual assault makes him a successful ladies’ man. Of course they won’t hold it against him. ---
