And as I recall, the Supreme Court ultimately ruled in favor of the federal government on that case. ---

**Shodan** : In both cases, per your own link, contempt of Congress for ridiculous partisan attacks by House Republicans related to the above-described Fast and Furious bogus Fox scandal. You \*might \*have mentioned that, but we all know why you didn’t. So what are the Senate Republicans going to do _now_? They’ll have to act on confirming Obama’s new appointee, which they won’t want to do and will try to stop or delay; or have Holder stay in office (because he says he’s staying until a successor is approved by the Senate) LONGER, even though they hate him with the burning passion of ten thousand suns. Looks like they’re screwed either way, too me. ---

Like one of the assistant AGs that have already been through the process and Senate have already confirmed for their current position. ---
