# Error trying to add user to ignore list

Are they a moderator? If so, you generally can’t ignore them.

A workaround is to use [adblock software to block their posts](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/is-it-possible-to-block-a-mod/1011836/12), but it’s [really not recommended](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/is-it-possible-to-block-a-mod/1011836/15). If they try to tell you something and you miss the warning, too bad for you…
