Self flush. The siphon action starts because of the water pressure in teh bowl from the added water

I never saw the film, but I always heard how they butchered those scenes. I live less than a mile from the U of L sign, last I checked the airport is still south of there, and certainly south of the Ohio River. I guess they just wanted to show some driving and did not find the road to Elizabethtown to be as appealing.

> Being a “gun nut,” I always see guns being shown to work a way that they really don’t. Like when the weapon is empty, and the slide locks to the rear, yet the shooter keeps pulling the trigger and the gun goes, “Click! Click!”

Drives me nuts too, but far worse than that is guns clicking constantly _just from being pointed_.

Someone draws their gun and points it at someone? _CLICK CLICK CLICK_.

> There is only one man in Hollywood that knows anything about the military, Dale Dye. If they use him as a consultant most of the details are right. He can’t fix everything in a movie but he seems to do a pretty good job. The rest I blame on the writers. For all the shows that don’t hire a consultant, there isn’t anyone on the set who ever was in the military? A grip? The second assistant best boy?

There will be, soon enough. CBS is readying _The Unit_, a David Mamet show somewhat based on the life and times of Eric L. Haney, a founding member of 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment- Delta and the author of _Inside Delta Force_. As one of the principle writers and as a military consultant, he is on set every minute that military action is being filmed.

It is set to premier in March 2006.

Thus endeth the hijack (and shameless plug)!

🆒

I did four years enlisted in the Navy and I see all kinds of things that make me want to yell at the screen.

Just recently I saw a scene with a military funeral. The pall bearers were Navy enlisted wearing dress whites. The Officer in Charge was in dress blues. WTF? Everybody wears blues or whites depending on the time of year at the same time.

Officers wearing kahki or cammo in the pentagon. WRONG.

> But we’re talking about a show with a car that could not only talk, but was intelligent. I can’t see how a person can suspend their disbelief that far without accepting part and parcel most of the other technological tomfoolery along with it. It wasn’t supposed to be realistic, it was supposed to be fun.

The point is that it’s one thing to ask me to accept that there’s a secret car that has AI in it, and then there’s the attempt to get me to accept that turbos make cars jump, and that you can send electromagnetic waves that turn combination locks, and also don’t fry every piece of normal electronics in sight.
