Thrift store shopping this week, I came across a nearly unused espresso machine for 3 dollars. Tested it out, it works perfectly. So I have glorious homemade espresso. 😃 And now I won’t spend 175 dollars on campus-made coffees next semester.

I usually just down a straight double on my way out the door, but that little steamer attachment on the side intrigues me. List your favorite fancy espresso machine drinks that I may try them!

First off, Caroline will miss you.

Second, here’s a caffe mocha recipe:

Pour a little chocolate syrup into the bottom of the cup and roll the cup to coat the bottom and sides. Steam milk and make espresso shots. Pour the espresso in first (makes a difference, although I’m not sure why), then the milk, and stir to blend.

Oh, you know I’d still visit Caroline. I can’t carry good hot coffee all day- where else would I get my lunchtime cup?

Sounds tasty. I personally want to try the Jazzman’s variation on hot chocolate making. It just adds such a great taste when you make it with steamed milk.

Pah. The fancy and trifles are for the women and children. Keep pure. Drink your espresso dark, and covered with rich crema!

So what type of machine is it? Pump? How much Bar pressure? Are you grinding your own beans to get the freshest brew? Roasting your own beans yet? Be sure to prewarm the basket, and the basket holder, along with the cup. Tamp the grinds down with about 40 pounds of pressure, and make sure the surface of the grinds are _smooth_ to get the best crema.

No, I’m not obsessed with espresso. Why are you looking at me that way?
