He and his buddies thought it would be hilarious for they themselves to walk into a strip club with pre-written checks to hand out as tips until they got thrown out. The “joke” is based on the idea of purposefully being annoying by making someone’s job harder simply for their own amusement. That kind if thing is rarely “hilarious” to anyone over the age of 15. ---

OK, I would like to ask…who would be the intended audience for this joke? Are you expecting that the stripper would be the one who is first escalatingly perplexed, then doubled over with laughter and telling future patrons about the hilarious joke perpetrated on her while giving them a lap dance? Or is it the other bar patrons who will find the angry check receiving stripper so side-splittingly comical they cant wait to get home and post about the awesome check giving dude on their favorite message board? Even better, do you see the whole bar wiping the tears from their eyes as they laugh uncontrollably at the absurdness of you giving a stripper a series of 1$ checks? Or is it just you, the 2 people on this thread who said it was funny, and your dorky comic book friends who will be laughing at your dumb prank? ---

Presumably you will be depositing a good amount of the cash you get in the bank anyway, to pay bills and such. I get that it’s just a thought experiment that won’t be followed through on and, as such, it could be simultaneously thought of as both funny and an offensively shitty thing to do, like that idea with the chimp and the tricycle. In real life it would be massively dickish, in the same category as paying the pizza guy with a sack of change, or asking the cashier to ring up a cart full of items separately.
