"Eternal soup": Would this work?

Peas Porridge Hot
Peas Porridge Cold
Peas Porridge in the pot
Nine days old.

Ever heard of that one?
Never. Do some people like it hot? I guess some like it cold. Surely, in this world, there will be those with a decided preference for it in the pot nine days old.

When I was a carefree bachelor, I loved my crockpot. I think I kept a single stew going from before Christmas till after New Year once. Sort of a Mulligan stew; I know there was corn in there.

Stew? STEW?! When I was a carefree bachelor we didn’t have stew! We just reheated the dirty dishwater and sopped it up a newspaper, and we liked it.

Dishwater? Luxury. When I was a bachelor, all we had was an old syrofoam package from a Cup o’Noodles! Huh! Dishes!
Never heard of the stew, but in Germany there is a drink they make…the name escapes me at the moment…but they have a large, air-tight, earthenware crock and they put the fruit of the season in it, cover it, and then the next fruit of the next season, etc.
After about 10 months of everything from strawberries to cherries to apricots and so on and so on, they have a nice large bowl of fermenting fruit.

They occasionally scoop some out, put it in another bowl and add some champagne and other alcohol…at any rate, it tastes mighty fine and there are always the newbies who only want to eat the fruit and not drink much…only to be surprised when they are suddenly totally blotto - as it is the tasty fruit that has the highest alcohol content, not the liquid.

Rumtopf.

We have been known to do this as well. It can get quite potent after awhile.
