This reminds me so much of the 2018 Croatia Semi Final, England scored early and then tried to basically defend for the rest of the game. If they keep losing the mid field battle we will see a repeat. Southgate has to make adjustments. ---

You could be describing California. I disagree that these are separate countries in any sense of the word. Its simply a conceit the British believe, their form of British exceptionalism. ---

Both of his very late subs took Penalty Kicks…and failed (one miss, one save). Southgate is going to get crucified by the English sports media (IMHO…we’ll see). But Italy did enough to win…as they always seem to do. My congrats to them.
