Heh, I’d put it quite a bit later myself, around the time Hughes Capet got crowned or thereabouts - prior to that, France (the geographic region) was nothing more than one part of the Frankish Carolingian Empire. And even then it took what, until the Hundred Years War for an actual sense of nationhood and unity to emerge in the people, instead of just a mish-mash of loosely federated feuding provinces ? Perhaps even a bit later. Hell, by the time we beheaded our king for shits and giggles, only ~1/4th of the population even spoke French ! So I guess by **scam** ’s definition we’re a fetal culture. the logic on this thread me: I don’t think quran is very nice book to follow retort: but the bible is a nasty book too me: I am not discussing the bible retort: but the bible is SUPER nasty me: I don’t think the bible is taken word for word in western europe, I think it has very little place in politics, and it’s not inherently political retort: you want to kill all brown people? me: no retort: but you are a racist, you think that islam is starting to have influence in France me: well my friend, it has, same thing in London.
