# European cheek kissing the new thing in football?

I became a fan of this team after driving the quarterback and left tackle for Uber. They were super nice and thoughtful guys (very different in personality from what you would stereotypically expect from “jocks”), and they gave me a big tip.
So I was watching the game from last weekend on my Apple TV MSUM Dragonz app, and was intrigued to see this type of bussing between the quarterback I met (already on the sideline) and his top receiver and ”wildcat” QB (the guy who took his helmet off). Now I like him even more, although I am curious as to where this came from. I have watched an incredible amount of football and I have seen the pat on the butt a zillion times, but never one of these European greetings.

That apparently two guys can’t air-kiss each other unless they import the concept from some imaginary European place where guys routinely air-kiss? Something like that.

Of course they can. I already said I really liked the one guy, and this made me like him even more. But I am curious as to where this comes from, because it’s not something I have ever seen football players do before.

Makes sense. I guess I would think most football players wouldn’t even know that European custom. But as I said, he did not come across like a dumb jock or anyone with anything like toxic masculinity.
